Easy Homemade Mac & Cheese Recipe

Friday, December 19, 2014

If you're cooking for the holidays and you want to make something soul fulfilling then, I would suggest this easy recipe for Mac and cheese. You don't have to make your own cream so that takes the hassle out of it. No flour needed. Just 7 simple ingredients that most women keep in their home. 30 minutes of cooking and you'll be happier than ever. You'll forget all about this being a side dish and make it the main course lol.

* You don't need the onion power, garlic, or paprika unless you want a kick in your Mac and cheese. I simple just use white pepper and salt, mine taste amazing.

*I don't use heavy whipping cream unless I plan to make my cream from scratch, but for this recipe use PET "evaporated" milk < not whipping cream.

*If you use heavy whipping cream just be sure to break it down with flour and cook over the stove with the butter...you're pretty much making a sauce.*

Add your white pepper and salt to the cream and then mix.

Add two eggs to your cream and then mix again.

You should already have your macaroni on the stove cooking in boil water for 9 minutes (aldente). Drain your pasta and get ready to layer it a baking dish.

Place your macaroni in a casserole dish and then layer it with cheese (two kind - mozzarella and sharp cheddar).

**add in your cream mixture (pet milk, white pepper, salt, and 2 eggs).

**Make sure everything is mixed in together.

Once you've got it layered > I know you can't see here, but.... put in a few 1/2 inch size butter pieces. You should only use half a stick of butter depends on the size of your casserole dish.

Let it bake in the oven for 30-45 mins until the top layer of cheese has crusted and you don't see any cream bubbling.

You're done! It's ready to eat. Enjoy!

Sorry I don't have exact measurements because it depends on your casserole dish. As long as you taste the cream before you mix everything together, you should be fine.

I always assume that single girls are eating alone or with one or two people so this recipe is for 3-4 people.

*let your oven, preheat at 350 degrees

Cook your pasta for 9 minutes until aldente (it will finish cooking when you bake it).
