SINGLE GIRLS AT HOME BAR B QUE

I'm not a grill master, but I have deep southern roots within my family. As a single girl we think, we can't eat BBQ unless we go to restaurants, a family cookout, or we get lucky and there's a guy willing to put in the work. Well, I'm here to say, BBQing isn't just for guys ladies. We can get on the grill or stove top and whip up something just as tasty. This meal can be done in 30 mins!

Now, I'm not going to lie, I prefer when a guy gets on the grill and marinates some meat because I think it's sexy and also because I'm just not a master grill chef. Yet, I had some wings in my freezer when a friend of mine stated he wish he had some wings and instead of hitting up WingStop or Buffalo Wild Wings I decided to hit up the good old Pinterest site for this Brown Sugar Baked Chicken Wings recipe. My choice in ingredients was mostly based on things I thought other ladies would have in their pantry. Next time I plan on making the Hawaiian Baked Chicken Wings but a heads up, you'll need soy sauce and ginger.

So, without further ado, I'll let you check out the pictures. If you want different versions of this recipe, be sure to stop by Damn Delicious' blog which adapted from Domestic Fits' blog. I did end up changing my recipe by adding BBQ sauce and I also added 2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes and 2 tablespoons of ground cayenne.

RECIPE:

2 pounds of chicken wings, wash and check for feathers

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

tablespoons of paprika

tablespoons of red pepper flakes

tablespoons of chili powder

tablespoons of ground cayenne

tablespoons of garlic powder

tablespoons of onion powder

1/4 teaspoon of pepper

1/4 teaspoon of salt

tablespoons of olive oil

1-2 a cups of BBQ sauce

Prep Work:

Mix all the dry ingredients then add wet products (BBQ sauce and Olive Oil)

Pour the sauce over the wings and mix well in bowl.

Let it set in the frig for 1-2 hours.

Take them out and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.

COOKING:

Heat oven 425 degrees

Bake on one side for 15 mins

-Take them out of the oven

Turn the wings over.

 - Baste with more sauce on the other side

Bake for another 15 mins.

BASTE: With a baster brush, take the juices and sauce from the cooking sheet and lather them on the opposite side of the wings.

Pop back in the oven for another 15 mins.

These wings are a treat! I'm telling you if you're having a few guys over for the game or your home girl, this makes a perfect appetizer for any occasion. They are messy, so I would suggest keeping plenty of napkins on hand.
